 The Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) wishes to inform the International community that the upcoming so-called elections in Ethiopia will not be free, fair or unfettered. The Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) led Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Front (EPRDF) regime will declare a landslide victory in all areas and continue its policy of repression throughout Ethiopia and war crimes in Ogaden primarily because the regime is convinced there will not be consequences. |

 Special Forces from the 'Gorgor(Eagle)' unit of the Ogaden National Liberation Front (ONLF) Liberation Army captured 'Malqaqa', a strategic garrison that was part of the Ethiopian regime’s defence infrastructure along the road between Jigjiga and Harar. The operation resulted in the capture of 192 light and heavy machines guns and large amount of ammunition. |

| The Ethiopian regime, has of late, gone to great lengths in its attempts to divert attention from the defeat and utter failure in its military campaign against the ONLF and to convey the impression that it has made significant military gains in Ogaden and is on the brink of accommodating the spent force of Al-Itihad Al- Islami in the Ogaden which it claims had submitted to its conditions. |

 On the 16th of April 2010 Commando Units of the National Liberation Army captured three Ethiopian military bases at Qorile and Miir-Khalif in Dollo region, Marsin in Qorahey region , and Negadi-Weyne in Shabelle region. ONLA destroyed military facilities in these bases including three Russian made (Ural) trucks and captured sizable quantities of Ammunition and weaponry. The Ethiopian casualties in these operations are 216 dead and more than 345 wounded. |

 Washington – The United States condemned Ethiopia's blocking of Voice of America broadcasts, calling the country's accusations of the US radio service "baseless and inflammatory."Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi earlier admitted to jamming the US government-funded VOA broadcasts in Amharic, saying he was prepared to censor the broadcasts because of the service's "destabilizing propaganda."

The verdict is in. While the people of Ethiopia have not spoken, the Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) regime currently in power in Ethiopia certainly has. The message from TPLF to those Western democracies that have been coddling and cajoling it is this: any leverage they thought they might have had on the TPLF regime no longer exists.
